    1. NCKU faculty, staff and students are welcome to use this service.
    2. The Library will consider all requests within the constraints of our collection development policy and budget. Controversial materials need to be reviewed in library meeting.
    3. Five is the maximum number of purchase quantity limit for Chinese books, three for foreign books, and a maximum amount of NT$3,000 for multimedia materials for one person in one semester.
    4. Scholarly foreign journals are subjected to be recommended by academic departments. Quantity limit for comprehensive and recreational journals is 2 Chinese journals and 1 foreign journal for one person in one semester. Periodicals Department reserves the right to make all decisions on what to purchase.  
  • Purchasing procedure
    1. We process the recommended materials and send reports to all requests by e-mail. You can check your items with library ID number. The Library will collect and place orders in due course.
    2. The Library conducts purchase activities based on Government Procurement Law. Therefore, the library purchases and receipt procedure should be made in bulk.
    3. The average turnaround time of foreign items from the placement of our order to ready for use ranges from 3 to 4 months. (regular time period)
    4. The average turnaround time of Chinese items from the placement of our order to ready for use ranges from 2 to 2.5 months. (regular time period)
    5. All newly acquired items ready for checkout will be shelved. You can search the new title on Library WEBPAC system.
